Bishops Silas and Nicola Tayebwa are the Founders and joint Executive Directors of King of Kings Ministries International. They are a formidable team whom God brought together and who is using powerfully in nation of Uganda and around the world.
Bishop Silas was born in Nyanja Village deep in South West Uganda. The son of a Christian family he grew in an environment of love and spiritual commitment. He has a deep love for his Ugandan people coupled with a profound understanding of the spiritual dynamics of African life. Bishop Silas was saved in 1993 and soon discovered a passion to share the Gospel with others. He was appointed as Associate Pastor of a church in Mbarara in 1999. He carried the responsibilities for the evangelistic and intercessory ministries of that church until his release and commissioning in late 2007.
British born Nicola also grew within a Christian family and growing up she always sensed there was a call of God upon her life. She initially came to Uganda in 1991 for a short term mission trip. She discovered a deep love for Uganda and knew that God had called her to give her life to this country. However it was not until 2002 that the way was opened for her to return to the land. She initially served a Pastor at a large church in Kampala. As part of that role, she was appointed as the General Manager of a nationwide Christian radio and television ministry.
Silas and Nicola met in Mbarara in 2003 and married in 2005. Silas and Nicola form a unique team where the complimentary gifts of evangelist/intercessor and teacher/administrator blend to provide a substantial base for their joint ministry.
Silas is a gifted evangelist. He is well known throughout Uganda as a powerful man of God upon whom a rich spiritual anointing rests. His crusades in towns and villages of the south west draw crowds of thousands of people and see hundreds drawn to Christ and sick and demonized, healed and delivered through powerful signs, wonders and miracles.
Another aspect of Silas’s ministry is Intercession. As one of the spiritual gatekeepers of the South West of Uganda, Silas and his intercessory team have been responsible for breaking powerful demonic strong olds which, in some cases, have kept whole communities in bondage for hundreds of years. The resulting spiritual break through has seen Churches planted and significant moves of God in regions that were previously resistant to the Gospel.
In recent years Silas has been commissioned as a Provincial Overseer for the National Fellowship of Born Again Pentecostal Churches (a national umbrella organization for Pentecostal churches) where he has oversight of over 3000 churches.
Bishop Silas is also the Co-Ordinator For Development for Ankole Region for National Alliance of Pentecostal Churches, aimed at poverty alleviation for those in ministry.
When God drew Silas and Nicola together in 2004, He brought to Silas’s side a wife with complimentary gifts in teaching and administration. Nicola is a powerful and anointed teacher with a special ministry in the area of inner healing and spiritual deliverance. Her ministry has touched people in North America, the UK , Africa and Australia.
Her teaching and ministry seminars for believers are an important part of encouraging and developing the network of branch churches under King of Kings Ministries. Nicola has a passion to see people healed, delivered and restored in Christ to fulfill God’s plan for their lives and to see the Nation of Uganda rise up to fulfill her prophetic destiny.
God also uses Nicola’s years of managerial experience and administrative gifting to provide a solid foundation from which the ministry continues grow.
Silas and Nicola have two daughters Mercy and Amanya and several other children that they have taken into their family as their own to provide them with a safe, loving home.
Together this anointed couple, who carry the nation of Uganda in their heart, birthed King of Kings Ministries in 2007. They first established a City Church in the town where they live which has grown into a thriving congregation of over 1000 members. With a vision to see the glory of God spread throughout the country they started to plant life giving churches in towns and villages throughout Uganda. God’s hand has definitely been upon King of Kings Ministries, in the few years it has been in existence over 300 branch churches have been established.
In 2020 Bishops Silas and Nicola, following the leading of God, began the first Christian Television Station in Western Uganda called GNTV (Good News Television) and later 2021 they launched GN Radio (Good News Radio) To find out more information please go to
