SALT School :- King of Kings Church | Mbarara Uganda

SALT School is a vital part of King of Kings Ministries International under the Leadership of Bishops Silas & Nicola Tayebwa.

SALT is a personal, spiritual and leadership development program designed to equip pastors and leaders of local Churches from all Christian denominations.

The aim of SALT is to enrich the life and ministry of pastors with insight, knowledge and practical skills which will enable them to more effectively lead their congregations on the journey to daily discipleship and spiritual maturity.

The SALT program involves students attending classes for 5 days on 6 occasions spread over 2 years. Students must enroll at the beginning of the program as it is not possible to join classes once the school has commenced. The initial enrollment will be approximately 60 pastors and leaders.

There are three important elements to a SALT program.

MODEL: Teachers at SALT are trained and experienced Christian leaders who teach out of practical ministry experience.

TEACH: Course material at SALT is a balance of personal spiritual development, Biblical understanding and practical ministry application.

MENTOR: The leaders of SALT desire to develop an ongoing mentoring relationship with participating pastors. We will continue to speak into their lives throughout the program and beyond.  Students are also encouraged to use the things they have learned to mentor and equip the leaders in their church.

The five-fold focus of SALT

  1. The Leader’s personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and growth toward spiritual maturity
  2. The leader’s heart and attitudes as a person and as a leader (Issues of Character and integrity)
  3. The leader’s developing understanding of the Word of God
  4. The leader’s role as a godly, servant leader of the people of God
  5. The leader’s effectivness as one who equips the people of God for their word and ministry
